"What I like in a good author is not what he says, but what he whispers." - Logan Pearsall Smith

What I feel that Logan Pearsall Smith is speaking of the underlying message, which is more important in writing. It is not the details that are blatantly stated, but things that you have to listen closely to comprehend. This is what makes writers truly great writers, what they don't have to say and people will still understand.
